Mobile Cribs, a parent's favorite object! Many parents utilize mobile cribs since they are considered to offer many benefits for the infant. When placed in the crib, the baby will be visually engaged and entranced by the colors of the mobile, the forms, all the details about it, and perhaps the sounds, thus working on the developmental side. Hence, it will assist in distracting and keeping them calm. Hence, it will also help your baby sleep faster.

But in order to take full advantage, you must first know how to put it together. The mobile can also be a perfect distraction when changing a baby’s diaper or putting their clothes on. Whenever distraction is needed, the mobile is there to the rescue!

Do you have difficulties setting it up? We’re here with an easy and simple guide from Baby Sleeping Bed, to how to hang your crib mobile.

Before getting deeper into the steps, you’ll need a hammer, a drill, a measuring tape, screw hooks, and drywall anchors.

Step 1: Determine where you want the mobile to go.

As a first step, you’ll need to measure properly and correctly. Use the measuring tape and make sure to measure 16 inches (around 40 cm) from the mattress of the crib. Then mark the area. Make sure that the height is correct by checking with the mobile before moving to the next step.

Step 2: Drill a hole in the wall.

Now that you’ve measured and marked your point, drill a small hole, insert the drywall anchor into it, and tap the anchor with the hammer until it’s deeply into the wall. Following that, insert the screw into the hook and hang the mobile.

Step 3: Assemble the mobile components.

As you’ve hung the mobile, it’s time to bring together all the other parts. Read the instructions, follow the steps carefully and correctly, then find the string.

Step 4: Make use of the string

Every mobile crib comes with a string attached to the mobile toys. In some cases, it might be too short, so another string will be needed, so make sure to measure correctly and then do the need, which may require another hook for both strings to be hanged on.

Step 5: The Last Step

Lastly, it’s time to hang your mobile. Hang that extra string from the hook on the ceiling. Attach the mobile string to it. Cut the extra length of the rope hanging from the ceiling in case you want the mobile to be higher. If you want to lower it, then select a longer string to hang it from.

Always make sure the mobile is well placed, and make sure that the mobile strings are NOT longer than 7 inches. If you'd prefer to use another option than drilling, you can place the mobile on the side rails of the crib by clipping it to the side of the wall. You can find a crib mobile arm on Amazon and follow the instructions.

Whatever way you choose, always make sure it is safe for the baby and will not cause any harm in any way possible. We hope we were able to help you with this small guide!
