DIY Grilling Apron by Country Living

What you’ll need:

  • A canvas apron
  • Small paint brush
  • Fabric markers or pain

Steps to follow:

  1. Use fabric markers or fabric paint and a small paint brush to paint "grill master" and a grill on a plain canvas apron.
  2. Once dry, have kids dip their pinky fingers in orange, red, and yellow paint and press onto apron, just above grill grates, to create flames.

  • 1 part (tablespoon) grapeseed oil
  • 1 part (tablespoon) olive oil

Father’s Day Bunting Card by Craft Project Ideas

What you’ll need:

  • Foam Letter Stickers 
  • Friendship Thread 
  • Stamp Pad 
  • Wooden Letter Stamps 
  • Construction Paper (Blue)
  • Cardstock (White)
  • Pen/Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Craft Glue/Glue Stick
  • Tape
  • Scissors

Steps to follow:

  1. Gather your supplies
  2. Download, print and cut out the provided template.
  3. Fold each diamond in half along the dotted line.
  4. Cut a 12-inch piece of friendship thread.
  5. Fold one diamond over the piece of friendship thread and glue closed, as shown.
  6. Repeat Step 5 until there are 7 triangles on the friendship thread.
  7. Stamp or write “WE LOVE” on the triangles. 
  8. Cut a 6-inch piece of friendship thread and repeat Step 5 with 4 triangles.
  9. Stamp or write “YOU!” on the triangles. 
  10. Fold a piece of white cardstock in half.
  11. Open the folded paper. Tape the ends of the “WE LOVE” bunting to the top corners of the card and a few inches below, tape the “YOU!” bunting. Make sure the “YOU!” bunting is centered.
  12. Cut a piece of blue construction paper, 7.5″ x 5″.
  13. Glue the blue construction paper to the front of the white card stock.
  14. Spell out “Happy Fathers Day” on the front of the card using rainbow foam stickers.

  • A5 coloured card
  • A3 sugar paper
  • Felt pens
  • Scissors
  • Googly eyes
  • Glue

Steps to follow:

  1. Draw a monster onto the A5 card. (Simple shapes work best.)
  2. Cut it out.
  3. At one end of the A3 sugar paper draw around the child’s hands and cut out with the addition of long arms.
  4. Glue the arms, to make the hug, onto the back of the monster.
  5. Decorate the monster with spots and googly eyes etc to make it truly monstrous.
  6. Write your personal message.

Father’s Day Upcycled Record Coasters by Craft Project Ideas

What you’ll need:

  • Adhesive Craft Foam 
  • Acrylic Paint 
  • Paintbrush
  • Pencil/Pen
  • 4 CDs
  • Scissors

Steps to follow:

  1. Paint the top of the CD black.
  2. Trace the CD onto the back of your adhesive craft foam. Draw a smaller circle on the inside using something around the house, or just wing it.
  3. Cut out both foam circles. Be sure to keep both circles intact, as you’ll be using both pieces.
  4. Peel and stick the large adhesive circle to the back of the CD, then stick the small circle to the middle of the front of the CD.
  5. Repeat the steps above to create a set of record coasters.
  6. Paint and decorate each coaster with phrases of appreciation for dad to show him some love.
